Eva Barro ID’d as 1 of 2 Drivers Killed in Winchester Car Accident on Winchester Road (Highway 79) near Scott Road
Winchester, California (January 27, 2020) – Authorities have identified one of the two people who were killed early Friday morning in a head-on crash in Winchester as Eva Barro, 56, of Hemet.
The deadly accident took place at around 1:05 a.m. Friday, January 24 on Winchester Road, just north of Scott Road. Winchester Road is also known as Highway 79.
As per the CHP report, a Chevrolet Silverado was heading southbound on Winchester Road when for an unknown reason, it crossed over the double-yellow line and into the path of a Honda CRV that was heading northbound. Both vehicles eventually collided head-on.
Barro and the other driver were declared dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
It is undetermined whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
