Jamie Narkunski Killed in Sonoma DUI Crash at 8th Street and East Napa Road
Sonoma, California (January 27, 2020) – The man who died Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident in Sonoma has been identified as Jamie Narkunski, 35, of Sausalito, according to the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office.
The fatal crash happened at about 12:20 p.m. Sunday, January 26 at the intersection of 8th Street and East Napa Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, Abdulhadi Awad, 36, of Vallejo, was driving southbound on 8th Street in a gray 2008 BMW when he ran a red light at East Napa Road and plowed into a Subaru driven by Narkunski.
Narkunski was killed in the crash. His passenger, Natalie Weiss, 34, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center by a helicopter.
Awad suffered unspecified injuries and was also transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center. He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
