Minor Injury Sacramento Bicycle Crash at American River Drive and Watt Avenue
Sacramento, California (January 28, 2020) – A bicycle accident happened on Sunday morning in Sacramento leaving a rider with minor injuries, according to authorities.
The crash occurred at the intersection of American River Drive and Watt Avenue a while before 8:00 a.m. January 26.
Police said a bicyclist collided with a vehicle near Highway 50 for reasons yet to be established.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and assisted the cyclist who suffered minor injuries in the crash. The victim’s identity was not immediately disclosed.
It was unclear if the involved driver remained at the scene or fled the crash site after the accident.
Authorities closed the roadway following the collision.
An investigation is underway.
