Aguanga Woman Killed in Desert Hot Springs Car Crash on State Route 371 near Wilson Valley Road; Antone Bayard Arrested
Desert Hot Springs, California (January 29, 2020) – The suspected hit-and-run driver who caused a traffic accident that killed an Aguanga woman early this month in Desert Hot Springs has been arrested.
The deadly crash took place at around 6:15 a.m. Friday, January 3 on State Route 371, just north of Wilson Valley Road.
Authorities said three vehicles collided for undetermined reasons on State Route 371.
A 63-year-old Aguanga woman died in the accident.
One of the drivers involved, Antone Bayard of Anza, fled the scene on foot after the crash. On Tuesday afternoon, January 28, he was arrested in the Desert Hot Springs area for murder and hit and run causing serious or fatal injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
