Mission Viejo, California (January 5, 2020) – Six people were injured Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash in the area of Alicia Parkway and Jeronimo Road in Mission Viejo, authorities said.

The crash occurred at around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Jeronimo Road.

According to the authorities, three vehicles collided at the Mission Viejo intersection. Six other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to a total of six people, including two children, who were injured as a result of the crash. Five of them sustained traumatic injuries in the accident.

All six patients were then taken to area hospitals for further treatment. Their names and conditions were not immediately available.

No further details about the crash were given.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
