Officer, 3 Civilians Injured in Chula Vista Car Accident at Telegraph Canyon Road and Paseo Ranchero
Chula Vista, California (January 27, 2020) – A Chula Vista police officer and three other people were injured early Sunday morning in a traffic accident in Chula Vista, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, January 26 at the intersection of Telegraph Canyon Road and Paseo Ranchero.
As per the report, a Scion TC was heading westbound on Telegraph Canyon Road when for an unknown reason, it crashed into the rear of a police vehicle. The Scion then struck a Honda CRV stopped in the left turn pocket of the intersection.
The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The driver of the Scion, the driver and passenger of the CRV were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Scion was later arrested for suspicion of DUI.
The accident remains under investigation.
