3 Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on Sports Arena Boulevard

San Diego, California (January 4, 2020) – A man was arrested after a suspected hit-and-run pedestrian accident that left two women and a man in San Diego on Friday night.

The pedestrian accident happened in the 3500 block of Sports Arena Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m. December 3.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrians were crossing the street when a silver 2000 Ford Mustang hit them.

The unidentified pedestrians sustained serious injuries and were rushed to area hospitals for treatment.

The motorist, 54-year-old Marc Wohlfeil, fled the scene after the accident but was later apprehended.

Wohlfeil will likely be charged with felony DUI and felony hit-and-run.

No other information about the accident was provided.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
