Minor Injuries Sustained in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident at River Boulevard and Knotts Street
Bakersfield, California (January 29, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a pedestrian accident in Bakersfield that left two people with injuries on Tuesday evening.
According to a local news source, a crash was reported at about 6:40 p.m.
The collision occurred at the intersection of River Boulevard and Knotts Street near Highway 178 and Jefferson Park, January 28.
An SUV was turning on the Knotts Street when for unknown reasons, it hit two pedestrians who were in a crosswalk, the CHP said
Paramedics arrived at the scene and assisted the two patients who had sustained minor injuries. The names of the wounded parties and their current condition were not immediately provided.
The SUV driver was determined by police to have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time.
An investigation is underway.
