Winchester, California (January 24, 2020) – Two people were killed early Friday morning in a head-on crash in Winchester, according to report by the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly accident happened just after 1:00 a.m. on Winchester Road, just north of Scott Road. Winchester Road is also known as Highway 79.
As per the CHP report, a Chevrolet Silverado was heading southbound on Winchester Road when for an unknown reason, it crossed over the double-yellow line and into the path of a Honda CRV that was heading northbound. Both vehicles eventually collided head-on.
Both drivers were declared dead at the scene. Their names have not been disclosed pending notification of their families.
No other injuries were reported.
It is undetermined whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
