2 Hospitalized after Rancho Cordova Crash on Hazel Avenue at Folsom Boulevard
Rancho Cordova, California (January 17, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized Friday evening after a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Rancho Cordova, according to a local news source.
The accident took place at around 6:23 p.m. on Hazel Avenue at Folsom Boulevard.
The crash involved two vehicles. According to the California Highway Patrol, one of the involved drivers possibly ran a red light, causing the collision.
One person was taken to UC Davis Medical Center with moderate to major injuries. A second person complained of minor pain and was not hospitalized.
Police closed the intersection for about one hour following the crash.
It is undetermined whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
