16-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after Brentwood Bicycle Accident at Minnesota Avenue

Brentwood, California (January 20, 2020) – A 16-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after a bicycle accident that took place on Saturday afternoon in Brentwood, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Valley Green at around 4:40 p.m. on January 18.

As per the CHP officials, a boy was riding his bicycle in the area when for reasons yet to be determined a passing vehicle struck him.

The boy sustained injuries of unspecified degree and he was flown to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately provided.

Officials confirmed that the involved driver did not flee the scene but remained and was cooperative.

The incident remains under investigation.
