Man Dies in Bakersfield 2-Vehicle Crash on South Edison Road and Hermosa Road
Bakersfield, California (January 28, 2020) - One person was killed and another injured when two vehicles were involved in a fiery collision in Bakersfield Monday afternoon.
According to a CHP report, the accident occurred at South Edison Road and Hermosa Road at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 27.
CHP said a man in a Ford F-150 pickup was heading west on Hermosa Road when he ran a stop sign and struck a Toyota Corolla traveling southbound on South Edison Road.
The driver of the Ford was slightly ejected from his vehicle in the crash as it rolled over. He was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The Ford's driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
The female driver of the Toyota, who was also not identified, was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
