1 Injured in San Diego Truck Crash at 10th Avenue and Market Street
San Diego, California (January 22, 2019) – One person sustained injuries following a traffic crash that happened Wednesday afternoon in East Village, downtown San Diego, according to a local news source.
The accident took place at around 3:50 p.m. at the intersection of 10th Avenue and Market Street.
As per the report, a BMW X5 and a semi-truck collided at the intersection for reasons still under investigation. As a result of the collision, the BMW X5 plowed into a Starbucks Coffee shop at the southeast corner of 10th Avenue and Market Street.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the BMW X5’s driver who suffered minor injuries in the crash. The name and condition of the patient at this were not immediately provided.
No other injuries were reported.
According to police, traffic was blocked in all directions at the intersection as crews worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
