1 Killed, 4 Hospitalized after Menifee Crash on Railroad Canyon Road at Newport Road
Menifee, California (January 25, 2020) – According to a local news report, one person was killed and four other people were hospitalized Friday night after a multi-vehicle crash in Menifee.
The fatal crash took place at around 9:55 p.m. Friday, January 24 at the intersection of Railroad Canyon Road and Newport Road.
As per the report, several vehicles were involved in the crash.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated two people who were trapped in the wrecked vehicles.
Authorities said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The two rescued victims and two other patients suffered moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital.
The identifies of the deceased and injured victims were not immediately disclosed.
The crash caused the closure of all lanes of the road.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
