Female Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Lodi Crash at Tejon and Lower Sacramento Road
Lodi, California (February 6, 2020) – A 59-year-old woman was on Sunday morning seriously injured in a bicycle crash in Lodi, according to authorities.
The accident occurred on Tejon and Lower Sacramento Road, February 2.
At about 10:49 a.m., police responded to a crash involving a bicycle and a vehicle. The woman was riding the bicycle north on Lower Sacramento Road while the car was turning from Tejon Street and two ultimately collided.
The driver told authorities that they did not notice that the woman was on the roadway at the time.
Paramedics responded to the crash site and aided the woman who sustained serious injuries due to the accident. The woman was taken to a local hospital with a broken leg. Her name and condition were not available.
An investigation is underway.
“Far too many bicycle accidents are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists.
