Enrique Sanchez Struck and Seriously Hurt by Vehicle on SR 79 in Riverside County
Riverside County, California (February 25, 2020) – 49-Year-old Enrique Ramirez Sanchez of Banning has been identified as the tow truck driver who suffered serious injuries following a traffic crash on Sunday morning in Riverside County.
The California Highway Patrol said the major injury collision happened at around 10:30 a.m. February 23, on SR-79 south of California Avenue
The accident began when a CHP officer responded to a solo vehicle rollover accident southbound on the highway. Sanchez, a tow truck driver, then responded to the incident after the officer contacted him to recover the overturned vehicle.
A southbound white Toyota Corolla lost control and slammed into Sanchez and his truck as he was outside recovering the overturned automobile
Sanchez reportedly sustained major injuries following the wreck. He was rushed to Riverside University Health Systems Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, there were no other victims injured after the crash.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. The investigation is underway.
A person on foot is no match for a vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death. “Due to the incredibly serious nature of these types of injuries, pedestrian accident cases often require special care in order to help ensure victims receive the full compensation they need for extensive medical bills, ongoing rehabilitation therapy, in-home care, lost past and future earnings, and numerous other economic and non-economic damages”, Said Arin Khodaverdian, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney.
Arin noted that pedestrians, in most instances, have the right-of-way when crossing a street or an intersection. According to Arin, to properly investigate a pedestrian crash and prove negligence, enough resources are required. “A skilled attorney has the resources and will help investigate the accident to determine the party at fault,” Arin said
