Fatal South Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident at Florence Avenue and St. Andrews Place
South Los Angeles, California (February 8, 2020) – A traffic collision that happened in the area of South Los Angeles at about 6:00 a.m. on Friday resulted in the death of one person, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle of unspecified built happened at Florence Avenue and St. Andrews Place.
The manner in which the collision occurred was not immediately disclosed at the time of the report.
The involved motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities’ investigation.
The initial report showed that there was a painted yellow crosswalk, several pedestrian signs, and a button for a walk sign near the crash site.
The unidentified pedestrian died in the accident.
The roadway was closed down as police conducted the investigation.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
