Pilot Suffers Minor Injuries in Tuolumne County Plane Crash at Columbia Airport
Tuolumne County, California (February 22, 2020) – A pilot was injured when a plane crashed Saturday afternoon in Tuolumne County, according to authorities.
The accident took place shortly before 2:00 p.m. at Columbia Airport.
Authorities said a single-engine Aviat A-1A crashed under unknown circumstances at Columbia Airport.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and said a Cal Fire Air Tanker almost collided with the plane.
The pilot sustained minor injuries in the crash. Authorities said the pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft.
No other details about the crash were given.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the accident.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Plane accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
