Person Killed in Pacoima Pedestrian Accident at Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street; Suspect Arrested
Pacoima, California (February 7, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in Pacoima, according to authorities.
The deadly accident took place at around 8:16 p.m. Thursday, February 6, near the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street.
Authorities said the pedestrian was struck by a burgundy, newer model SUV and fled the scene. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Highway 118 from Glenoaks.
The pedestrian died in the accident. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Police later arrested the suspected hit-and-run driver.
No other details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
