Woman In Critical Condition after Fresno Pedestrian Accident at Effie Street and Ashlan Avenue
Fresno, California (February 26, 2020) - A pedestrian was struck and critically injured by a vehicle Tuesday night in northeast Fresno, according to a local news source.
The accident was reported at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 25 at Ashlan Avenue and Effie Street near Blackstone.
Authorities said a woman was walking down the center median of the road when she moved suddenly into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
The woman suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
No other details about the crash were immediately given.
The accident remains under investigation.
