Rider Killed in Oceanside Motorcycle Collision on Oceanside Boulevard
Oceanside, California (February 9, 2020) - A crash between a truck and a motorcycle rider left one person dead in Oceanside Saturday afternoon, the Oceanside police said.
At about 2:20 p.m. February 8, police were notified of a crash on Oceanside Boulevard at the El Corazon compost facility.
According to a preliminary investigation, the motorcycle rider was traveling west on Oceanside Boulevard when he collided with a truck exiting the facility. The truck driver was reportedly attempting to make an illegal left turn when the two collided.
The motorcyclist, a 53-year-old man from Oceanside, died as a result of the collision.
The driver of the truck was taken into custody for gross vehicular manslaughter charges.
The Oceanside Police Department is investigating the incident.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Motorcycle accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
