Man Seriously Injured in Sacramento Train Accident at Elder Creek Road
Sacramento, California (February 8, 2020) - A man was seriously injured when his vehicle was struck by a Union Pacific train early Friday morning in south Sacramento, according to a local news source.
The accident took place shortly before 2:45 a.m. Friday, February 7 at the Elder Creek Road train crossing.
As per the report, a white Ford van was on the tracks when it was hit by the train. The train pushed the van several hundred feet down the tracks before it went down an embankment and came to a stop in a large puddle of mud.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the van driver who was trapped in the wreckage. He was then transported to a nearby hospital with major injuries.
The train blocked Florin Road to the south as the investigation took place.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
