Major Injuries Reported in San Francisco Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 near San Bruno Avenue Off-Ramp
San Francisco, California (February 7, 2020) – Major injuries were sustained following a traffic accident that occurred Thursday afternoon on Highway 101 in San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a red motorcycle collided with another vehicle at about 3:40 p.m. Thursday, February 6 on northbound Highway 101 at San Bruno Avenue exit.
Authorities said the crash resulted in major injuries. However, the total number of injured parties and their names were not immediately available.
Police closed the Numbers 4, 5, and 6 lanes of the highway as a result of the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.
