Crescent City, California (February 5, 2020) – Authorities have identified one of the three victims seriously injured after a car crash on Monday night in Crescent City as Kostadin Biserinkov, 46, of Cave Junction, Oregon.
The crash was reported at about 8:30 p.m., February 3, on Highway 199, north of Siskiyou Fork Road.
The authorities said Biserinkov was driving a 2015 Honda northbound on Highway199 when he drifted across double yellow lines into the path of an oncoming 1997 Toyota driven by Pa Houa Thao, 25, of Crescent City. The two vehicles finally crashed head-on.
Biserinkov sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The other two victims, Thao and her passenger, Mai Ka Ying Thao, 21, of Crescent City, were also hospitalized with severe injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be the reason for the crash.
An investigation is underway.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
