Kevin Patland Killed in Napa Car Accident at Browns Valley Road and Woodlawn Drive; Gary Lindstrom Arrested
Napa, California (February 5, 2020) – The Napa County Sheriff-Coroner's Officers are investigating an alleged DUI crash that killed Kevin Brandon Patland,23, of Rohnert Park on Sunday night in Napa.
Patland died after the accident that occurred at about 7:27 p.m. Sunday, February 2, at Browns Valley Road and Woodlawn Drive.
The authorities said an Infiniti G37s driven by Gary Lee Lindstrom, 31, was traveling westbound on Browns Valley Road when it collided head-on with a red Chevy Camaro that was turning left onto eastbound Browns Valley.
The Infiniti G37s then broadsided the Chevrolet at the intersection.
Patland the only Camaro occupant was transported to a hospital where he later died.
Lindstrom and his 28-year-old female passenger from Milpitas were also taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa for treatment of their injuries.
Lindstrom’s alleged DUI is believed not to be connected to Patland’s death but is related to his passenger, according to the officials.
Police arrested Lindstrom on allegations of DUI causing injury. Lindstrom was later released on $100,000 bail on Monday.
An investigation is underway.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
