Jose Felix Identified as Motorist Killed in Yolo County Car Crash on Interstate 5
Yolo County, California (February 20, 2020) - One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Friday evening in Yolo County, according to police.
The crash took place at about 4:30 p.m. on February 14 on southbound Interstate 5, just south of County Road 102.
Jose Molina Felix, 40, of Ukiah was driving a Volkswagen in front of a Chevrolet on southbound Interstate 5, police said.
For an unknown reason, the Chevrolet was unable to stop or slow and eventually rear-ended the Volkswagen, which was then pushed in a southerly direction, where it collided with a Ford.
Felix died at the scene.
Drugs and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.
An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the Woodland CHP office at 530-662-4685.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
