Jose Esquivel Injured in Cotati Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Railroad Avenue
Cotati, California (February 18, 2020) – A Calistoga man was struck and severely injured by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Cotati, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened on Highway 101 near Railroad Avenue at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 18.
According to the CHP, Jose Esquivel, 34, of Calistoga, was driving a truck and had pulled over into the shoulder to pick up insulation that had fallen on the roadway. He was then hit by a Toyota Camry that was being driven southbound on Highway 101 by Marvin Ralda, 28, of San Rafael.
The paramedics who responded to the incident said Esquivel was conscious and moving. He was then taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
