Joey Allen ID’d as Driver Killed in Monrovia Car Accident on 405 Freeway
Monrovia, California (February 16, 2020) – Joey Trianders Allen, 43, of Lancaster, has been identified as the driver who was killed in an alleged DUI crash on Sunday morning in Monrovia, according to the CHP.
The crash happened at about 2:30 a.m. on the northbound 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive in Bel-Air.
The police said a 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by Marco Abrego, 42, of Northridge, was traveling southbound in northbound lanes near Bel Air Crest Road when it collided head-on with a 2000 Jaguar S-Type driven by Allen. The impact sent the Jaguar crushing into a 2010 Toyota Corolla.
Allen was pronounced dead at the scene.
A female driver operating the Toyota declined hospitalization.
Abrego was treated at the scene for his injuries before being arrested for alleged DUI, according to the CHP.
All lanes were reopened after 8:00 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
