Isaiah Pacheco ID’d as Boy Killed in Santa Clara Pedestrian Accident at Lafayette Street and Agnew Road
Santa Clara, California (February 18, 2020) – The boy who was hit and killed by a vehicle Sunday night at an intersection in Santa Clara has been identified by the Santa Clara County coroner’s office as Isaiah Juan Pacheco, 15, of Santa Clara.
The accident happened at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Agnew Road at about 9:21 p.m. Sunday, February 16.
The California Highway Patrol said Pacheco was walking across the intersection when he was hit by a Honda Accord that was traveling southbound on Lafayette Street on a green light.
Pacheco suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda Accord remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
The intersection was closed for several hours as the authorities examined the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
