David Ramirez Killed in Chula Vista Car Accident on Interstate 5 near J Street
Chula Vista, California (February 4, 2020) – One of the two victims of a fatal wrong-way crash early early Saturday morning in Chula Vista has been identified as Army veteran David Ramirez, 23, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at around 5:00 a.m. February 1, on southbound Interstate 5 near J Street and Bay Boulevard.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, a car was heading north in the southbound lanes when it collided with several other vehicles.
The CHP said two people died in the crash. One of the victims was Ramirez.
The second victim has only been identified as a woman.
Two other parties who sustained major injuries were taken to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
