1 Seriously Injured in Cotati Bicycle Accident on Highway 116 near Stony Point Road
Cotati, California (February 6, 2020) – A bicyclist was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Wednesday night in Cotati, according to a local news source.
The bicycle accident took place at around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5 on Highway 116, just west of Stony Point Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicyclist was hit by a semi-truck on Highway 116.
The bicycle rider was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately provided.
Meanwhile, it remains unknown whether or not the truck driver remained at or left the scene as those details were not declared in the report.
The accident remains under investigation.
