37-Year-Old Pomona Man Killed in Chino Bicycle Accident on Philadelphia Street near Bridger Avenue
Chino, California (February 2, 2020) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday evening in Chino, according to officials.
The deadly bicycle accident was reported at around 7:24 p.m. Saturday, February 1 in the 5100 block of Philadelphia Street near Bridger Avenue.
Authorities said the bicyclist, a 37-year-old Pomona man, was riding his bicycle on Philadelphia Street when he was hit by a vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the bicyclist lying unresponsive on the pavement. He was taken to Chino Valley Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
It is undetermined if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
