Two Hospitalized after Apple Valley Dirt Bike Accident on Highway 18 and Navajo Road
Apple Valley, California (February 17, 2020) – Two persons sustained significant injuries after a dirt bike collided with a vehicle on Sunday morning in Apple Valley, according to authorities.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 18 and Navajo Road.
At about 11:30 a.m., on February 16, a dirt bike with two riders collided with a silver Honda Accord at the intersection. Both riders were ejected as a result of the impact, according to the police.
Two men on the dirt bike sustained severe injuries and were flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.
The medics treated the Honda driver, who sustained minor injuries, at the scene.
An investigation by the Apple Valley Police Department is underway.
“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists.
