2 Hospitalized after Irvine Bus Accident at Bristol Street and Irvine Avenue
Irvine, California (February 13, 2020) – Two people were injured Wednesday morning in a traffic accident involving a University of California Irvine bus in Irvine, according to a local news source.
The wreck took place at about 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12 at the intersection of Bristol Street and Irvine Avenue.
Authorities said an SUV was traveling on the road when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the UC Irvine bus.
A student on the bus and the driver of the SUV were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A UCI professor who was one of the four people aboard the bus was trapped in the wreckage and was freed by emergency crews.
Police closed the intersection of Bristol Street and Irvine Avenue until midnight as they investigated the accident.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Bus accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
