1 Seriously Injured in Fontana Truck Accident at Cherry and Whittram Avenues
Fontana, California (February 9, 2020) - A garbage truck driver suffered major injuries in a crash involving another vehicle at an intersection in Fontana on Friday evening.
According to a local news source, the incident was reported at about 5:06 p.m. February 7, at Cherry and Whittram avenues.
The crash was between a white Chevy Silverado pickup and a Burrtec Waste garbage truck. It's unclear what led up to the crash.
The impact pushed the garbage truck into a traffic pole.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the incident and worked to extricate the garbage truck driver and to clear a fuel spill from the truck.
The driver of the garbage truck reportedly suffered severe traumatic injuries and was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the pickup was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
An investigation into the incident is under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Truck accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
