56-Year-Old Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Fresno County Car Crash at Dinuba and Zediker Avenues near Parlier
Fresno County, California (February 20, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a Thursday morning car accident that killed a woman and injured three others in Fresno County.
A red Hyundai Elantra was traveling west on Dinuba towards a stop sign while a black Chevrolet Malibu was traveling on Zediker Avenue approaching Dinuba without a stop sign at a speed of about 55 mph at around 5:50 a.m.
The Elantra failed to stop and was struck on the passenger side by the Malibu’s front end, according to the CHP.
The driver of the Elantra and their passenger, a 56-year-old woman, were both transported to Community Regional Medical Center with moderate to significant injuries. The woman later succumbed to her injuries at Selma Hospital.
The Malibu driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
All the victims were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the CHP said.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into crash is underway.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
