Woman Killed, Man Seriously Injured in San Jose Pedestrian Accident at San Carlos Street and Brooklyn Avenue
San Jose, California (February 23, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed and another was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle Saturday night in San Jose, according to authorities.
The deadly pedestrian accident was reported at around 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22 at the intersection of San Carlos Street and Brooklyn Avenue.
Authorities said a man and woman were in a crosswalk when a 2018 Ford Focus hit them.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where the woman later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries and remained hospitalized as of Saturday night.
The female driver of the Focus stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
