Boy Killed in Orangevale Pedestrian Accident near Hazel and Oak Avenues Friday morning
Orangevale, California (April 10, 2020) – A teenage boy died after being struck by a vehicle as he was running across the road in Orangevale Friday morning, Sacramento County.
The fatal crash took place just after 6:00 a.m. near Hazel and Oak avenues.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the boy was running across Hazel Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling down Hazel.
The boy, who is believed to be between 13-15 years old, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver stopped at the scene after hitting the boy.
Authorities closed Southbound Hazel Avenue to investigate the cause of the accident.
