Stewart Gonzales ID’d as Man Killed In Compton Pedestrian Accident On Long Beach (710) Freeway Near Alondra Boulevard
Compton, California (April 30, 2020) – The man who died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night on a freeway in Compton has been identified as Stewart Gonzales, 57, of Pomona, authorities said.
The fatal accident took place at around 8:35 p.m. Saturday, April 25, on the Long Beach (710) Freeway, just north of Alondra Boulevard.
Authorities said Gonzales was walking on the southbound 710 Freeway when a Honda sedan hit him.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Gonzales beneath the Honda along the right shoulder of the freeway.
Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said.
