Gilroy Crash Involving Dirt Bike at Church Avenue and Sycamore Avenue Sends Rider to Hospital

Gilroy, California (April 19, 2020) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash involving a dirt bike and a gray Dodge Dakota Sunday at about 1:10 p.m. in Gilroy.

The responders arrived at the intersection of Church Avenue and Sycamore Avenue to find the rider of the dirt bike down on the side of the road with serious injuries.

The cause of the accident was not immediately established.

The victim was hospitalized in unknown condition, as per the California Highway Patrol.

CHP is investigating the accident.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.
