Pilot Dies, Passenger Hurt in Placer County Plane Crash near Auburn Municipal Airport
Placer County, California (April 19, 2020) – One person was killed and another was injured when a small plane crashed Saturday morning in Placer County, according to authorities.
The fatal crash took place a little after 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, near the 3800 block of Cedar Mist Lane, northwest of the Auburn Municipal Airport.
Authorities said the single-engine aircraft had taken off when it crashed into a field near the Auburn Municipal Airport. The plane then burst into flames.
Two people were on board the plane. The pilot died at the scene while the passenger sustained minor injuries. Their names have not been disclosed.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause of the accident.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Plane accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
