Man Dies in Turlock Pedestrian Accident at West Canal Drive and North Front Street
Turlock, California (April 15, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Monday afternoon in Turlock, a local news source reported.
The fatal crash happened a little before 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 13 in the area of W. Canal Drive and N. Front Street.
According to a witness, the man was in the area when he intentionally stepped onto the railroad tracks and was struck by an oncoming train.
Authorities said the man died at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
No further details about the accident were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
