At Least 1 Injured in Big Rig Accident on Highway 99 in Sacramento

At Least 1 Person Hurt in Sacramento Truck Crash on Highway 99 near 47th Avenue Off-Ramp

Sacramento, California (April 7, 2020) – At least one person was injured in a big rig accident on Monday afternoon in Sacramento, according to police.

The crash happened at about 12:40 p.m., on April 6, on Highway 99 at 47th Avenue off-ramp.

According to the authorities, a red big rig, for unknown reasons, crashed into a tan-colored sedan on the southbound lanes of the highway.

First responders arrived at the scene and aided at least one party who sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.

What to Do at the Accident Scene after Crash

  5. If involved in a minor crash, move the car to the side of the roadway and turn on its hazard lights
  6. Collect details regarding the accident from the witnesses
  7. Don’t sign any documents unless it is from the authorities
  8. Wait for the police to arrive before you can leave the accident scene

  2. Collect a police report

  4. Get a property damage evaluation
  5. Before providing any statements to the other motorist or his or her insurance company, seek a personal injury attorney to advise you legally and protect your rights
