2 Killed in Monrovia Train Crash on L Line near California Avenue and Duarte Road
Monrovia, California (April 15, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a train crash that killed two people on Wednesday morning in Monrovia.
The fatal accident was reported on the L Line, the Gold Line, near California Avenue and Duarte Road.
A train was traveling northbound from Monrovia on the rails when it struck two persons in unclear circumstances, according to the police.
Following the accident, the two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash affected rail services between Monrovia and Duarte stations.
An investigation into the crash is underway by the Monrovia police and Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau and Metro.
