Statistics on motorcycle accidents in California show that the riders sustain major injuries in most of the incidents. Although most motorcyclists practice safe driving and wear the right protective gear, other motorists contribute a lot towards motorcycle accidents.
Some of the most common unsafe practices by other motorists include:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Turning left into the path of oncoming motorcyclists
- Failing to yield the right-of-way
- Distracted driving (using a phone, eating, etc.)
The above and other negligent behaviors can and often do cause accidents that result in major injuries or death. You should not allow a negligent party to subject you to such kind of suffering. Seek legal help from a motorcycle accident attorney.
