2 Hospitalized After Mecca Car Crash at Avenue 70 and Cleveland Street
Mecca, California (September 24, 2019) – Two people were hurt in a traffic collision involving a forklift in the area of Mecca on Tuesday morning.
The crash took place at around 6:16 a.m. September 24 at the intersection of Avenue 70 and Cleveland Street.
The Riverside County Fire Department said the crash involved a forklift and a passenger vehicle which collided at the intersection for unknown reasons. Due to the impact, one person was trapped inside one of the involved vehicles.
Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after the wreck and extracted the victim from the wreckage.
A total of two people sustained moderate injuries in the crash and were rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
The identity and current condition of the injured parties have not yet been released to this time.
The crash remains under an active investigation.
