Byron Man Dies Following Fatal Oakley Car Accident at Delta and Arminio Saturday

Oakley, California (October 13, 2019) – According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, a 22-year-old Byron man was killed in a three-car accident at an intersection in Oakley late Saturday night.

The fatal wreck took place at around 11:26 p.m. Saturday, October 12 at the intersection of Delta Road and Arminio Lane

As per the CHP report, a Ford pickup truck was heading eastbound on Delta Road when it attempted to make a left into a residence and was hit by an Infiniti that was traveling eastbound. The Infiniti continued and crashed into a parked Dodge sedan.

The driver of the Infiniti, whose name has not been disclosed pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old Oakley woman who was riding as a passenger in the Infiniti was airlifted to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek with moderate injuries.

The male driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was to Kaiser Hospital in Antioch.

The crash remains under investigation.
