Los Angeles, California (October 9, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a traffic crash Tuesday afternoon in Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at about 4:29 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, on eastbound 105 Freeway, near Inglewood Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle and two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.

Responding emergency crews attended to the motorcyclist who suffered severe injuries in the crash. The patient was transported to UCLA Harbor Medical Center for treatment. The rider’s name and their current condition were not immediately provided.

The vehicles were towed away from the scene.

Authorities issued a SigAlert closing lanes 1 and 2, and the HOV lane following the crash.

All lanes were opened as of 5:40 p.m.
