Redondo Boulevard, California (October 18, 2019) - According to a local news source, a child on a skateboard sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car in Redondo Beach on Tuesday, October 8.

The pedestrian accident happened at Curtis Avenue and Felton Lane at about 7:25 a.m.

The authorities said the child was on a skateboard when he rolled into the intersection for unknown reasons. The unidentified child was then struck by a passing car.

The child is reported to have sustained serious injuries in the collision and was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment.

The current condition of the child is unknown.

The motorist reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
