Jesus Garibay Killed in Buttonwillow Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Merced Avenue
Buttonwillow, California (October 14, 2019) – A man was killed in a car accident that left a woman and two children injured in Buttonwillow on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on 5 Freeway near Merced Avenue at about 1:36 a.m. October 13.
The authorities said 44-year-old Yolanda Miranda of Lynwood was driving a Nissan occupied by a man and two children when they rear-ended another car for unknown reasons.
The Nissan is reported to have crashed into a palm tree after the collision.
The male passenger of the Nissan, 46-year-old Jesus Cazares Garibay, was killed in the collision.
Miranda sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Kern Medical for treatment.
